Stir fried french bean RecipePrint This
- 130g french bean, cut into 2 inches long
- 1 red pepper, julienned
- Half tbspn minced garlic
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 potato, skinned and thinly sliced
- 3 prawns deveined
- Half tspn salt
- Half tbspn oyster sauce
- 2 tspn light soy sauce
- 1 tbspn olive oil
- 2 tbspn water (if you are using stainless steel cookware, then you’ll need small amount water to ensure ingredients not burnt before placing in french bean)
- 1 tspn chinese xiaoshing wine
Heat oil in wok over medium heat. Stir fry onion and red pepper till fragrant.
Add sliced potato and salt. Mix well and let sear for 1 minute.
Place in prawns and garlic. Stir fry for 30 seconds, add water into wok. Put oyster sauce and stir well.
Add french beans and xiaoshing wine, stirfry for 1 minute. Turn heat to low and cover wok , let cook for another minute.
Turn off heat, Dish out and serve hot.
*if you prefer french bean to have softer texture , then after turning off the heat, you may let cover on for 2 minutes before serving. (Let residual heat to further cook the french beans)
