Steam cod fish is an universally adored dish. It is effortless in preparing and if steamed with savoury sauce, you’ll be craving for it very often!
Cod fish has smaller flaked white meat compared to other types of white meat fish, and that, contributes to it’s delicate texture. This type of fish is low in fat and is the best source of protein in grams per calorie. It contains phosphorus, niacin, and Vitamin B-12. A 3 ounce cooked portion of cod has less than 90 calories and one gram of fat.
It has also become part of Chinese culture to sometimes include cod fish meat as one of ingredients while making porridge for toddlers. I remember how much my girls love it’s taste and they would ask for it if mommy hasn’t been serving this for a while. 😂

Pour sauce and ginger onto fish, steam for 8 minutes . Over high heat for the first 3 minutes then lowest heat for the rest of 5 minutes. (Discard the ginger after steaming)
Meanwhile waiting for the fish, airfry julienned ginger (add small amount of sesame oil on ginger) until crispy and fragrant, using 200 degree celcius for 5minutes. Set aside for garnishing. (you may also sear ginger with sesame oil in hot pan over medium fire)
Garnish air fried ginger onto steamed fish. Serve hot with rice
