Ingredients

Coat tofu with potato starch, panfry til crispy and golden brown

Stir fry carrot for 30seconds

Add in ham continue cook for 1 minute

Place in mushroom and garlic, stir for another 30 seconds

Add in chicken broth, oyster sauce, salt and pepper, bring to boil

Turn heat to low, Mix in corn starch liquid, stir well until it reaches desired consistency

Instructions

  • 1. Heat olive oil on pan over medium heat
  • 2. Thinly coat tofu with potato starch,
  • 3. Place coated tofu into pan, pan-fry until it's crispy and golden in colour, set aside
  • 4. Using the same pan, (add in some olive oil if needed) stir fry carrot strips for 30seconds, follow with ham strips, continue cooking for another 1 minute
  • 5. Put in mushrooms strips, stir fry for 30seconds , add in 1 tspn minced garlic
  • 6. Pour in chicken stock and water, bring to boil, add salt and pepper to taste
  • 7. Turn heat to low, Slowly mix in the potato starch mixture, Optional: turn off heat, and slowly pour the egg into gravy and mix gently but quick enough to ensure no clumps
  • 8. Arrange tofu on plate, ladle gravy and cooked ingredients onto tofu. Serve hot with fragrant rice
