Instructions

  • 1. Use fork to poke holes on pork belly skin, this allows the skin to dry inside fridge and becomes crispy during roasting
  • 2. Score the meat of pork belly, neednt score too deep
  • 3. Pour the marinade sauce (all ingredients except vinegar) onto scored meat, apply evenly, making sure it doesnt touches the skin, wipe off if it does
  • 4. let sit inside a tupperware or if you do not have the size to contain the pork belly you may do like what i did, using just aluminium foil
  • 5. let pork belly stand in fridge overnight uncovered ( at least 12hours)
  • 6. Preheat oven at 200 degree celcius, roast pork belly skin up, for 1 hour
  • 7. Brush pork belly skin with thin layer of rice vinegar , Turn oven temperature to 250 degree celcius, put pork belly back into oven on the highest rack to crisp up skin ( around 15 minutes or until charred)
  • 8. Let roasted pork belly est for 30minutes then Scrape off those charred parts to uncover the beautiful crispy pork belly skin
  • 9. Chop into chunks serve with rice or as snacks with beer
