Salmon Cheese Baked Rice with white sauce

Instructions

  • 1. Heat olive oil in pan with medium heat. Grill salmon skin down first, then sides just enough to charred it's surface. (Later will be sent to oven or airfry to continue cook). Meanwhile soak cauliflower in hot boiling water for 5 minutes. Strain and Set both aside.
  • 2. Prepare white sauce by first making the roux. Melt butter in pan, scoop in cornflour then whisk until mixture crumbled (roux). Remove from heat. Slowly add in warm milk, stir as you pour in milk until you get a smooth texture. Return to heat, (low heat) to reduce until it reaches your preferred consistency.
  • 3. Arrange rice,salmon and cauliflower into casserole plate, wet it with white sauce, then top with cheddar cheese and lots of grated parmesan. You will want to be generous with the cheese, they are the highlight of this dish!
  • 4. Preheat oven or airfryer at 200°c for 3 minutes. Then bake for 10 minutes. Check occasionally, cheese melt really fast you wont want them getting burn! ;)
