Braised mushrooms and sea cucumber

Instructions

  • 1. Heat sesame oil in deep pot over medium heat
  • 2. Brown sliced ginger until fragrant about 3 minutes
  • 3. Add in spring onion, garlic cloves and leek. Continue brown for another 2 minutes
  • 4. Place in mushrooms and sea cucumber, gently mix for 15 seconds, then let sear for 1 minute.
  • 5. Pour in xiaohsing wine and gently stir fry for another 2 minutes
  • 6. Carefully ladled in the sauce mixture, turn heat to high and bring to boil
  • 7. Close lid and let simmer for 30 minutes
  • 8. Leaving the lid still on, turn off heat and let steep for another 15 minutes prior to serving
  • 9. Meanwhile, boil the broccoli in hot boiling water (with a spoonful of olive oil and tspn of sea salt)
  • 10. Arrange broccoli, mushrooms, seacucumber, and abalone on a plate or claypot, then ladle it's sauce on top.
  • 11. Serve hot with rice.
