Baked Salmon , Glazed with Homemade Teriyaki Sauce RecipePrint This
- Half Tbspn Mirin
- Half Tbspn sake
- 1/2 teaspoon each of ginger and garlic puree
- Half Tbspn brown sugar
- Half Tbspn butter
- Olive oil, salt and ground black pepper
- 2 Salmon fillet
- 1 Tbspn soy sauce
Sauce preparation : [ You may make this sauce in bulk, keep in airtight jar and store in fridge for 2 months] – above portions are for 2 servings, for more sauce you may add ingredient ratio accordingly.
Heat olive oil in pan over medium heat. Stirfry garlic and ginger puree till fragrant
Add in mirin and sake, turn to high heat. Let cook for 1 minute for alcohol to evaporate.
Add in sugar and soy sauce, stir continously over low heat, simmer until sauce has reduced. Set aside.
Heat small amount of olive oil and butter in pan over medium heat.
Sprinkle salt and ground black pepper onto salmon fillets.
Arrange salmon in pan skin side down to crisp up. This may take at least 2 to 3 minutes. Pour in teriyaki sauce and brown the rest side of salmon for 20 seconds each side. Then bake salmon in preheated oven or airfryer. 180°C for 7 minutes. Check occasionally. Add more sauce if required
