Marvel Studio : Ten years of Heroes
Venue : Art and Science Museum, Marina Bay Sands
Date : 9th June – 30th Sept 2018
Time : 10am – 5.30pm
Here we are finally, at Marvel Studio Exhibition in Art and Science Museum. Husband been waiting for this visit since June this year, and of course we don’t mind tagging along even though my husband is the only fan of Marvel.
Girls visiting their hero’s heroes 😜
We took local family package of 4 which costs us SGD 11.25 since it’s a school holiday, means price are slightly higher compared to weekdays.
Right after we enter, we saw heroes profile and listings of Marvel’s movies showcased on boards at both left and right of the entrance.
Then, a city walkway leading us to Stark’ Tower
There’s a huge screen display of Stark’s technology and engineering changing Iron man’ suit.
THOR – GOD OF THUNDER
Meet the hammer-wielding God, and Incredible Hulk
Bifrost, the rainbow bridge to Asgard. My girls were excited by this shimmering path, despite what’s these all about. They spent some time here dancing in the mirror with bifrost backing. 😂
A corner dedicated to Thor’ Mjölnir, with photographer standing by to snap your best post lifting up hammer, made to weigh 1kg.
Audio : The making and productions of Marvel’s blockbusters.
I don’t think they do much justice to Captain America because there isn’t anything special about his section here, only photos and write ups. Or is there really nothing special about him? Aiks…At least come up with his Shield for visitor’s photo shoot?
Dr. Strange, my favourite among all in this Marvel Studio, because of it’s interactive part.
These screens with movement sensors allow visitors to experience one of Dr.Strange mystical power. The sling ring with swirling hand motion to open up a door to travel.
It’s a live feed, hence people on the other side of this door opening would be able to see you too!
Guardians of the galaxy
Jubi enjoys seeing her avatar Groot dancing and moving the same way she does!
In the end of the exhibition, we were invited into theatre room, screening a good 10 minutes of Marvel’s movie trailers.
Before leaving the studio, we get to sit with all the famous superheroes actors and actresses for a photoshoot. That’s big!
As usual, fanatics won’t miss the chance to grab a few collections to complete the journey. For our girls, they get to choose their weapons!
The verdict? It’s not as impressive as we expect it to be, it’s actually quite a small exhibition. Still, it’s not too costly, and yes we do enjoy seeing what’s on display.
